[origin: WO2018099521A1] The invention relates to a method for producing a security document (300), comprising: providing a substrate for a security document (300) and producing, on the substrate, an optically readable security code feature in which security-relevant information consisting of first and second information is encoded. The invention provides the following: in a code generator the first information is encoded into a first code, in which the first information is encoded by means of binary symbols; in the code generator the second information is encoded into a second code, which is different from the first code and in which the second information is encoded by means of binary symbols; by means of a processing device the first code is applied as a first optical 1D, 2D or 3D code (301) to the substrate in a first read-out region (302), in such a way that the applied first code is optically readable at a first viewing angle relative to the surface of the substrate; and by means of the processing device the second code is applied as a second optical 1D, 2D or SD code (303) to the substrate in a second read-out region (304), which optionally at least partially overlaps the first read-out region (302), in such a way that the applied second code is optically readable at a second viewing angle relative to the surface of the substrate which is different from the first viewing angle.
