[origin: WO2018104447A1] The invention relates to a method for handling a slag pot or tank or pyrometallurgical tools made of steel or cast iron, comprising the steps of spraying a mineral suspension on a wall and activating the operation of said slag pot or tank or pyrometallurgical tool, where said mineral suspension comprises calcium particles in suspension in an aqueous phase forming a slurry of calcium particles containing between 20 and 60 wt. % of calcium particles in relation to the weight of said slurry of calcium particles, said mineral layer being a thin layer.
