[origin: WO2018104066A1] The invention relates to a domestic appliance (10) having at least one operating area (20) for controlling the domestic appliance and one operating element (30) which can be held on the operating area (20) by magnetic force and can be moved relative to the operating area (20) and can be positioned in a removable manner by same. The operating element (30) has an inner element (31) and an outer element (32), the inner element (31) being rotatable relative to the outer element (32), and the inner element (31) having a user interface element (33) and a magnetic body (34) by means of which the inner element (30) can be oriented relative to the outer element (32) by a predefined magnetic field (B1, B2, B3).
