[origin: WO2018191828A1] The invention relates to a tear-off lid (10) having a rolled-up region around the removal opening (15), which tear-off lid is formed in such a way that, before the rolled-up region is formed, a plastic strip (32) of small thickness is applied to the collar (4) of the lid ring. After the rolled-up region has been formed, the plastic strip (32) is melted in order to produce good adhesion of the plastic to the top side and the bottom side of the tear-off lid (10) in the rolled-up region. A practically hermetic seal of the cut edge (31) of the tear-off lid (10) is thus achieved economically and with the possibility of production at a high rate. The invention further relates to a method and to a device for producing such a tear-off lid.
