[origin: WO2018108493A1] The present invention relates to a laundry-care appliance (100) having: an outer tub (105) for accommodating a washing liquid, the outer tub (105) containing a pressure-sensing device which is designed to sense the pressure of the washing liquid in the outer tub (105), the outer tub (105) also containing an inner tub (107) for accommodating laundry; a tub drive (111) for rotating the inner tub (107); a washing liquid supply device (137) for supplying washing liquid to the outer tub (105); a pump (119) for pumping washing liquid out of the outer tub (105); and a controller (129) for controlling the tub drive (111), the washing liquid supply device (137) and the pump (119). The controller (129) is designed, during a first period (153), to activate the washing liquid supply device (137) to supply washing liquid to the outer tub (105) and to activate the tub drive (111) to rotate the inner tub (107) at a first rotation speed and to wet washing in the inner tub (107) with the supplied washing liquid. The controller (129) is designed to activate the pump (119) at the end of the first period (153) to pump the washing liquid out of the outer tub (105) and out of the laundry-care appliance (100) when the pressure sensed for the washing liquid in the outer tub (105) remains constant during a sensing period (159). The controller (129) is designed, during a second period (155) following the first period (153), to deactivate the pump (119) and the washing liquid supply device (137) and to activate the tub drive (111) to rotate the inner tub (107) at a second rotation speed and to wet the laundry in the inner tub (107) with washing liquid held in the laundry.
