[origin: CN110387726A] The present invention provides a bottom assembly of an appliance for drying laundry, which has a heat pump and a heat exchanger housing that can be thermally coupled to a process air system of the appliance; the heat pump has a heat exchanger; and the heat exchanger is arranged in heat exchanger housing; the heat exchanger housing has a mounting bottom and a cover covering the heat exchanger on aside facing away from the mounting bottom; the heat exchanger is mounted on the mounting bottom. The cover has a cover element covering the heat exchanger on the side facing away from the installationbottom and two projections connected to the cover element, extending parallel to each other, arranged at a distance from each other and extending at least up to the installation bottom; the projections extend at least partially between the heat exchangers and contacts the heat exchanger at least indirectly; the channel section of the process air system between the heat exchangers is sealed by means of at least a sealing element at the side facing away from the installation bottom and the projections on the side; and the sealing element is arranged on the side of the cover element facing the mounting bottom.
