Abstract (en)
The present invention pertains to a transportation module (1), a modular transportation system (200), and a method for providing said system (200) for transporting a plurality of gas cylinders (2) and which facilitates and increases the safety of the transportation of gas cylinders while at the same time being compatible with automated solutions and a variety of standardized transportation methods. Accordingly, a transportation module (1) is suggested, comprising a support (3) for adjacently accommodating a plurality of gas cylinders (2) in a first direction (R1), and a first (10) and second sidewall (12), which are arranged in parallel, wherein the support (3) is arranged between the sidewalls (10, 12) and connected to the sidewalls (10, 12). Each of the sidewalls (10, 12) comprises a first (100) and second surface (120) on opposing sides in a second direction (R2) perpendicular to the first direction (R1), wherein the first surface (100) is configured to provide a stackable interface (140) with the second surface (120) of a second transportation module (1) in the second direction (R2).
