Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2018115511A1] The invention provides a method and devices for determining a target speed of an automotive vehicle approaching a traffic light. The method uses extended traffic information signalling and allows for the computation of a target speed that allows, for example, the vehicle to pass the traffic light during a green phase and while there is no waiting queue in front of the traffic light. Other targets such as reducing CO2 emissions or overall energy consumption of the vehicle approaching the traffic light may also be taken into account when computing the target speed.
