[origin: CA3045590A1] The present invention relates to a method for forming an assembly of products (3) within a conveying line, upstream of a station for packaging the assembly, said assembly containing products (3) of at least two different types, type A and type B, said conveying line comprising a conveyor (2) arranged in the longitudinal direction and configured to move products in parallel rows in the direction of the packaging station, and at least one collection surface (1) which is arranged adjacent to and flush with the conveyor (2). This method comprises the following steps: - forming at least one row of products A on the conveyor (2), - transferring transversely and cyclically batches of products B from the collection surface (1) to the conveyor (2). The present invention further relates to a device which is specially configured to carry out a method according to the invention.
