[origin: WO2018129519A1] The present disclosure relates to relates to medication injection devices, and in particular to systems and methods for on-demand delivery of a non-liquid medication from a wearable medication injection device. Particularly, aspects of the present invention are directed to a device that includes a housing defining a chamber, a piston disposed within the chamber, a needle disposed within the chamber on a first side of the piston, an energetic material disposed within the chamber on a second side of the piston, and a medication strip disposed within the needle. The medication strip includes an injectable substance in a non-liquid form.
