[origin: WO2018130261A1] The invention relates to a method for producing a veneer part having a mesh or woven fabric consisting of two or more strip-like bands (1a, 1b), wherein at least one of the strip-like bands (1a, 1b) is formed from veneer wood and has been obtained by cutting a corresponding veneer wood blank. The method comprises the following steps: • - breaking up the wood fibres of the at least one strip-like band formed from veneer wood or of the veneer wood blank thereof, • - arranging the strip-like bands (1a, 1b) relative to the mesh or woven fabric, and • - compressing the mesh or woven fabric to obtain the veneer part having a substantially even surface. The invention also relates to a veneer part, in particular produced in this manner, having a mesh or woven fabric consisting of at least two strip-like bands (1a, 1b) which are compressed with each other to form a substantially even surface, wherein at least one of the bands (1a, 1b) is formed from veneer wood. The invention also relates to a moulded part provided with such a veneer part.
