[origin: WO2018133889A1] The invention relates to a film molding tool for laminating a component with a laminating element or for molding a thermoplastic film with a grained geometry, to an alternative method for producing grain shells, and to the use of a corresponding film molding tool. In particular, the invention relates to a method for producing grain shells, said method saving on production time and production costs, producing long service lives, and additionally allowing a high molding quality. For this purpose, the molding shell of a film molding tool is provided with a ceramic layer which has a grained structure and thus allows the grained structure to be transferred onto the laminating element during the lamination method.
