Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2018138277A1] The invention relates to a guide rail (1), in particular of aluminum, for lateral guidance of roller blinds, sun protection installations or the like, comprising a substantially U-shaped cross-section, wherein the two limbs (3) are used for lateral guidance of the movable roller blinds, sun protection installations or the like. The invention also relates to a method for producing such a guide rail (1). In order to design such a guide rail (1) so that it can be produced more economically and in order to reduce the complexity of the manufacturing and assembly process, it is provided that the guide rail is roll-formed from strip material (1') and that the limbs (3) comprise in each case two layers which are adhesively bonded to one another. According to the inventive method, the guide rail (1) is roll-formed from strip material (1') and, during the roll-forming process, the at least one insert is carried along and non-positively and/or positively connected with the mushroom-shaped strip of the guide rail (1).
