Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2018138323A1] The invention relates to a burner, particularly a jet burner, for burning pulverised fuel, particularly brown coal, comprising at least one fuel channel (3) with an opening oriented in the direction of a combustion chamber, and at least one air nozzle (1, 5, 6) oriented in the direction of the combustion chamber, the fuel being blown through the fuel channel (3) into the combustion chamber, and the fuel channel having a rectangular cross-section. Torque is applied in order to partially break up the strands of pulverised coal created during operation, thereby bringing forward the ignition and improving the burn-out of the coal, as well as obtaining low emission values. Construction costs are also significantly reduced compared to the costs of constructing a completely new burner. This is achieved by arranging a plurality of guiding elements (10, 11, 12, 14) in the at least one fuel channel (3) in order to apply an at least partially rotating or whirling flow, the guiding elements (10, 11, 12, 14) being arranged only in the region of the walls of the fuel channel (3) such that the inner region (3') remains free of built-in elements.
