[origin: WO2018138566A1] Compact coiled flow inverters are proposed to be used as in-line mixers. Rectangular Spiral Pattern-Compact Coiled Flow Inverter and Crosshatch Pattern-Compact Coiled Flow Inverter employ six and fifteen flow inversions, respectively, to rotate periodically the Dean cells by 90° thereby allowing significant enhancement in transverse mixing at low shear.
