[origin: CA2996112A1] A folding lock comprises a lock body that has a latching mechanism; and a jointed bar hoop that has a plurality of jointed bars pivotably connected to one another; and a closing bar. A first end of the jointed bar hoop is permanently fastened to the lock body. The closing bar forms a free second end of the jointed bar hoop, wherein the closing bar can be latched to the lock body by means of the latching mechanism. The lock body further comprises an alarm device for outputting an alarm signal. The closing bar can selectively be latched to the lock body in a first closing position or in a second closing position, with the alarm device not being able to be activated when the closing bar adopts the first closing position and with the alarm device being able to be activated or being activated when the closing bar adopts the second closing position.

Ein Gelenkschloss umfasst einen Schlosskörper, der einen Verriegelungsmechanismus aufweist, und einen Gelenkstabbügel, der mehrere schwenkbar miteinander verbundene Gelenkstäbe und einen Schließstab aufweist. Ein erstes Ende des Gelenkstabbügels ist an dem Schlosskörper dauerhaft befestigt. Der Schließstab bildet ein freies zweites Ende des Gelenkstabbügels bildet, wobei der Schließstab mittels des Verriegelungsmechanismus an dem Schlosskörper verriegelt werden kann. Der Schlosskörper umfasst ferner eine Alarmeinrichtung zum Ausgeben eines Alarmsignals. Der Schließstab ist wahlweise in einer ersten Schließstellung oder in einer zweiten Schließstellung an dem Schlosskörper verriegelbar, wobei die Alarmeinrichtung nicht aktivierbar ist, wenn der Schließstab die erste Schließstellung einnimmt, und wobei die Alarmeinrichtung aktivierbar oder aktiviert ist, wenn der Schließstab die zweite Schließstellung einnimmt.
