[origin: WO2018202485A1] The invention relates to a method for evaluating a test data set from an ultrasonic test of an object (1), which has been determined by means of a transmitter-receiver ultrasonic test head (4) and which comprises a multiplicity of time-dependent ultrasonic amplitude signals, at least for one volume element (42) of the object (1); in which a SAFT amplitude for the volume element (42) is determined by means of a summation of the ultrasonic amplitude signals at the times which correspond to the propagation times of the ultrasound belonging to the respective ultrasonic amplitude from a transmitting unit (41) of the transmitter-receiver ultrasonic test head (4) to the volume element (42) back to a receiving unit (43) of the transmitter-receiver ultrasonic test head (4). The invention further relates to a method for the ultrasonic testing of an object (1).
