[origin: KR20180137385A] The present disclosure relates to a communication method for converging a fifth generation (5G) communication system for supporting a higher data rate beyond a fourth generation (4G) system with a technology for Internet of Things (IoT), and a system thereof. The present disclosure can be applied to an intelligent service based on a 5G communication technology and an IoT-related technology, such as smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car, connected car, health care, digital education, smart retail, security-and-safety services. In addition, according to the present invention, disclosed is a method for a terminal to rapidly report a frequency measurement result in a next generation mobile communication system. To this end, a method for processing a control signal in a wireless communication system includes the steps of: receiving a first control signal transmitted from a base station; processing the received first control signal; and transmitting a second control signal generated based on the processing to the base station.
