The wheelchair (1) comprises a chassis (3), a movable base (60) that can move relative to the chassis (3) between a low seating position and a high walking position, and a device (4) for changing the position of the base. The device (4) for changing the position comprises at least a first arm (41G, 41D) and a linear actuator (44G, 44D). The arm (41G, 41D) forms a third-class lever. The linear actuator (44G, 44D) is configured to bias the movable base (60) towards the high position by means of the arm (41G, 41D).
