[origin: WO2018153798A1] The invention relates to a handle (1) for a motor vehicle, comprising a mounting carrier (30) which can be secured on the inside of a door (2) of the motor vehicle, a grip lever (10) that can be arranged on the outside of the door (2) of the motor vehicle and is secured to said mounting carrier (30), and an activation element (60) which is positioned movably on the mounting carrier (30). According to the invention, the mounting carrier (30) comprises a control element (40) that can be moved between a retaining position (5) and a securing position (6), wherein the control element (40) engages with the activation element (60) in the retaining position (5) such that the activation element (60) is retained in a mounting position (7) in order to allow the grip lever (10) to be mounted more easily, and the control element (40) is detached from said activation element (60) when in the securing position (6).
