An optical relay system capable of increasing the number of optical fibers is provided. An optical relay system (10) according to the present invention includes a first repeater (11) including a first optical coupler (111) configured to divide an optical signal into an optical signal in a first wavelength band and an optical signal in a second wavelength band, a joint box (13) connected to the first repeater (11) and including a first equalizing filter (131) configured to equalize the optical signal in the first wavelength band and a second equalizing filter (132) configured to equalize the optical signal in the second wavelength band, and a second repeater (12) connected to the joint box (13) and including a second optical coupler (121) configured to multiplex the equalized optical signal in the first wavelength band and the equalized optical signal in the second wavelength band.
