[origin: WO2018158158A1] The invention relates to a wall for a basic furniture structure (10), having a panel-like core (41), which is arranged between two laterally positioned cover layers (43a, 43b), wherein the core (41) has a recess (42), which extends at least along part of an end side (413) of the wall and serves for accommodating a fitting (30), which guides a movable furniture part. The wall is distinguished in that the core (41) has two core halves (41a, 41b), which are located one upon the other by way of their side surfaces located opposite the respective cover layer (43a, 43b) and have recesses (42a, 42b) which supplement one another to form the recess (42). The invention also relates to a method for producing such a wall and to a basic furniture structure or a piece of furniture having such a wall.
