Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2018157885A1] The aim of the invention is to disclose a protective separator for a right angle plug connection, which protective separator is suitable for retrofitting existing right angle plug connections simply and inexpensively, and which ensures that the plug connection is deliberately and reversibly separable under increased mechanical load in order to prevent mechanical damage, and optionally, to guarantee that the operation resumes as quickly as possible. This aim is achieved by means of a protective separator for a right angle plug connection, which protective separator has an extension housing (100) with a first region (1) and a second region (2), wherein the first region (1) can be fixed directly to a surface and/or a socket housing (5), and the second region (2) can be locked onto a mating plug housing (3), wherein the first region (1) and the second region (2) can be reversibly separated from each other by the action of a predefined tensile force.
