Abstract (en)

[origin: CN110666121A] The invention relates to a strand guide segment (1) for supporting and guiding a metal strand (S) in a strand guide of a continuous casting machine. The aim of the invention is to expand the design ofthe strand guide segment (1) according to the prior art in such a way that the strand guide segment has a significantly simpler design and can be produced cost-effectively. The problem is solved by the strand guide segment (1). In terms of the strand guide segment, an upper frame (3) and/or a lower frame (4) comprise at least two side boxes (10a, 10b) which are arranged outside in the width direction of the strand guide segment (1). The strand guide segment (1) has a plurality of left side boxes (10a) and a plurality of right side boxes (10b) which are consecutive in the casting direction (2), and the first end of each displacement device (9) acts on the side boxes (10a, 10b) on the one hand and the second end of the displacement device (9) acts on the roll stand (8) on the other hand.
