In a printing ink printing method, printing ink containing water and a humectant is printed on a substrate so as to increase the humidity ofthe substrate; in a first drying step (3a), the water of the printed printing ink is basically completely evaporated; and in a second drying step (3b), the humectant is evaporated. The provided methodcan optimally dry a printing ink printed substrate and avoid the problems caused by residual humectant on the substrate.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Drucken und Trocknen, wobei eine Wasser und Feuchthaltemittel enthaltende Tinte im Tintendruckverfahren auf ein Substrat gedruckt wird, wodurch die Feuchte des Substrats erhöht wird, und wobei zunächst während eines ersten Trockenschritts (3a) das Wasser der gedruckten Tinte im Wesentlichen vollständig verdampft wird und anschließend während eines zweiten Trockenschritts (3b) das Feuchthaltemittel verdampft wird. Die Erfindung ermöglicht es, mit Tinte bedruckte Substrate optimal zu trocknen und durch Feuchthaltemittel auf dem Substrat verursachbare Probleme zu verhindern.
