[origin: CA3104947A1] The invention relates to a lid (100) for a container, in particular for a can, the lid comprising: a lid panel (10), with a break-open region (11), which is surrounded at least partially by a predetermined breaking line (12), and with a fastening element (20), which is arranged on the lid panel; a lever tab (30) fastened rotatably to the fastening element in order to break open the break-open region along the predetermined breaking line in the direction of an underside of the lid panel and thus providing a resultant removal opening in the lid panel. The lever tab comprises a closure element (40) for tightly closing the removal opening, the closure element having a first region (41), which can be positioned against an upper side of the lid panel, surrounding and sealing part of the removal opening, and the closure element having a second region (42), which can be positioned against an underside of the lid panel, surrounding and sealing part of the removal opening.
