[origin: WO2018162509A2] The invention relates to a device for the representation of a spatial image of an object in a virtual environment. The device comprises a first image-capturing element which is designed to generate a first stereoscopic image data stream from an environment. A second image-capturing element can generate a second stereoscopic image data stream from the object. Furthermore, a computing unit is designed to receive the first and the second stereoscopic image data stream, to generate, starting from a reference point and on the basis of the first stereoscopic image data stream, a spatial image of the virtual environment and to insert the object, starting from the reference point, from the second stereoscopic image data stream into the virtual environment. Starting from the reference point, a display element can display the spatial image of the object in the virtual environment so that the impression of a 3D object in a 3D environment is imparted to a viewer of the display element.
