A sheet handling apparatus (1) includes a first sheet shifting mechanism (20) disposed in a sheet transporting direction, and a second sheet shifting mechanism (30) disposed downstream of the first sheet shifting mechanism (20), as a plurality of kinds of sheet shifting mechanisms disposed along an extending direction of a transport path (2), and configured to shift a transported sheet in a width direction.
