[origin: WO2018166653A1] The invention relates to a security element (2) with reflective colour filter properties for producing value documents, such as bank notes (1), cheques or similar, having a profile structure (6) with elevations (7) over a base surface (10) and having a metallic upper side. The elevations (7) have a cover surface (8) which is parallel to the base surface (10) and, when seen from the cross-section, each one has at least one step and are distributed in a quasi-static manner with respect to the position and/or the extension on the base surface (10). The step height (t) is between 100 nm and 350 nm.
