Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2018166690A1] The invention relates to a capping machine (1) with a circulating design for capping containers (2) with crown caps (3). The capping machine has a stationary central column (4), which extends along a vertical central axis (MA) of the capping machine and which is equipped with at least one gyroscope (5) that can be circulated in a motor-driven manner and comprises multiple punch devices (6), and a support ring (7), which can be circulated in a motor-driven manner and comprises multiple container supports (8), below the gyroscope. The relative spacing between the gyroscope and the support ring along the vertical central axis of the capping machine can be adjusted by moving the gyroscope and/or the support ring along the central column. The stationary central column is designed to receive a compensating force oriented against the capping force, and at least one controlled clamping device (10), by means of which the gyroscope and/or the support ring can be secured to the central column in a controlled manner in the at least two different spacings, is provided between the gyroscope and the central column and/or the support crown and the central column.
