Said feed brush is mounted in a variable position on a carrier structure (1) fixed to a vehicle such that the feed brush can be pivoted by means of a pivoting arm arrangement (4) between an operating position pivoted out in the direction of travel and a transport position pivoted in counter to the direction of travel. A spring arrangement (26) preloading the pivoting arm arrangement (4) in the direction of the operating position of the feed brush (2) and supported on the carrier structure (1) acts on the pivoting arm arrangement (4). The carrier structure (1) has an adjustable stop, the position of which can be adjusted from the driver's cab of the carrier vehicle by means of a separate adjusting drive (34) and which adjustable stop the pivoting arm arrangement (4) strikes under the action of the spring arrangement (26).
