[origin: WO2018166841A1] The invention relates to an operating method for a camera display system (40), in particular for a vehicle (100), comprising a camera system (10) with multiple camera units (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6) and a display system (20) with one or more display units (21, 22, 23). Independent images of a surrounding area are captured using the camera units (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6), and images of the surrounding area are displayed in a visually combined manner on a display unit (21, 22, 23). An error status of camera units (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6) is detected, and if an error has occurred in a camera unit (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6), the images of the surrounding area captured by camera units (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6) without errors are displayed in a visually combined manner. The invention additionally relates to a camera display system (40) and a vehicle (100).
