[origin: WO2018172215A1] The invention relates to a household appliance, in particular a refrigerator or a freezer or a furniture item comprising at least one storage space (13, 24), in which a support plate (3) is positioned comprising a storage area (5) and a shelf (2) which can be rotationally and translationally moved on the storage area (5) of the support plate (3), wherein: the shelf (2) comprises a flat storage area (4) which is oriented plane-parallel to the storage area (5) of the support element (3); the shelf (2) can be rotated relative to the support plate (3) in a first rotational direction (R) and can be displaced in a predefined direction (A); mutually facing bearing surfaces of the storage areas (4, 5) each have closed peripheral raceway grooves (44, 45, 51) in which rolling elements (6) are guided; the raceway grooves (44, 45, 51) are formed such that, when a force is applied to the shelf (2) in a direction (A) defined in the plane of the storage area, the shelf (2) can be moved, in a movement which is at least partially forcibly guided and which is simultaneously rotational and translational, from a base position into an intermediary position, the shelf (2) being rotated relative to the support plate (3) in one of two possible opposing rotational directions (R1, R2) and being displaced in a predefined direction (A); and the shelf (2), after being moved into the intermediary position, can be further rotated relative to the support plate (3) in the one of two possible opposing rotational directions (R1, R2) and can be displaced counter to the predefined direction (A) and, when rotated by 180°, resumes the base position.
