[origin: WO2018172032A1] The invention relates to a method, a fastening element and a fastening arrangement for fixing a shape memory alloy element (SMAE) (3) to a structure to be reinforced (3). One aim of the invention is to fasten the SMAE (3) robustly to the structure (2) to be reinforced and to subsequently activate same in the most simple way possible. To this end, according to the invention, the current that is needed to activate the SMAE (3) is to be introduced directly into at least one anchoring element (3) located on the SMAE and/or is to be introduced directly into a fastening element (7) located on the SMAE (3).
