Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2019007560A1] A method for producing a time indicator, preferably for use during determination of the brewing of consumable liquids such as tea and the like, is proposed. This method comprises preparing (S1) a hydrophilic absorbent indicator base material, applying (S2) an indicator marking to same and cutting free (S3) opposite first edges to form a partially finished time indicator blank. The method also comprises applying (S4) a holding means for connecting the first edges of the time indicator blank to the indicator base material lying opposite, cutting free (S5) second edges from the indicator base material to form the finished time indicator blank, which is held on the indicator base material by the holding means, and laminating (S6) the time indicator blank by means of at least one first hydrophobic film web. To form the time indicator, the method also comprises cutting (S7) the time indicator blank lying between the holding means and the at least one hydrophobic film web and exposing (S8) an end of the indicator base material lying in the longitudinal direction of the time indicator blank.
