[origin: WO2018191397A1] Window wall and curtain wall mullion or transom structures including a component made of a thermally insulating material covering substantially an entirety of an outer side of a metal structural segment where a first fastener passing through the metal structure and into the component is oriented generally parallel to the outer side or parallel to at least one outward facing surface of the metal segment. The insulating component includes a first slot and a second slot configure to receive fasteners where the slots are oriented generally perpendicularly. The component is devoid of penetrations passing through the component to the structure.
