Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2019219102A1] The present invention relates to a needle-free injection-system (1) with an active substance cartridge (10) comprising at least a nozzle (100) and a plunger-actuated metering chamber (101) for dispensing under pressure an active substance (2) for injection into skin layers, wherein the injection device (1) further comprises a housing (11) with a receptacle (110) for reversibly and one-sidedly receiving the active substance cartridge (10), as well as a plunger (12) movable relative to the housing (10) and designed for ejecting the active substance (2) under pressure from the active substance cartridge (10), and a mechanism (13) for driving the plunger (11), wherein the plunger (12) has a starting position in relation to the mechanism (13), from which the piston (12) is released by a trigger (14) for guiding the motion, the mechanism (13) being designed to allow the plunger (12) to return to the starting position, and the dispensed amount of the active substance (2) being adjustable, the system being characterised in that the receptacle (110) of the active substance cartridge (10) can be shifted in the longitudinal direction on the housing (11) in relation to the piston (12) by means of a screw thread (111) comprising an inner thread (1110) on the receptacle (110) and an outer thread (1111) on the housing, in order to adjust the discharged amount of the active substance (2), wherein a locking profile (120) and a corresponding locking member (112) are provided to define the maximum thrust length of the piston (12).
