In order to be able to apply the additional elements at a high application speed without significantly reducing the reliability of the application of the additional elements or having to take into account system complexities, at least one positioning belt (38, 47) is provided, said positioning belt extending at least in sections along the transport path (15) of the packagings (13, 48) such that the additional elements (2) applied to the packaging (13, 48) are maintained on the packagings (13, 48) along at least one part of the transport path (15) by the positioning belt (38, 47), in particular pressed onto the packaging (13, 48).
