[origin: WO2018197431A1] The invention relates to a powertrain (10) for a motor vehicle (100), comprising a differential planetary gear system (20) that has at least one ring gear (30) with a ring gear toothing (32), at least one sun gear (50) with a sun gear toothing (52), planet gears (70, 72, 74) which engage with the ring gear toothing (32) and the sun gear toothing (52), and a planet gear carrier (80) on which the planet gears (70, 72, 74) are rotatably mounted. The ring gear toothing (32) and the sun gear toothing (52) have the same number of respective gear teeth (34, 54). Additional aspects of the invention relate to a differential planetary gear system (20) and a motor vehicle (100).
