[origin: WO2018197204A1] The invention relates to a gear selector indicator illumination unit (11) for a vehicle, particularly for an automatic vehicle. The aim of the invention is to produce said gear selector indicator illumination unit (11) with homogeneous basic illumination and individual spot illumination from a plurality of different lights, particularly in the form of LEDs, in a simple and cost-effective manner. To this end, the gear selector indicator illumination unit (11) comprises a plurality of lights (12) for gear selector indicators and a memory (13) for storing parameters and/or characteristic curves of the lights (12).
