[origin: WO2018202583A1] The invention relates to a cover device for closing an underwater opening in the hull of a watercraft at least in some regions, in particular an opening of a transverse channel of a thruster. According to the invention, the cover device has at least one volume-modifiable hollow lip assembly with at least two hollow lips which can be converted into an expanded state or a shrunk state by supplying or discharging a fluid, in particular air. By virtue of the volume-modifiable or inflatable cover device, the cover device can be operated in a reliable manner while requiring little maintenance at the same time. The invention additionally relates to a thruster, in particular a bow or stern thruster.
