[origin: WO2018210834A1] The invention refers to a container (1) for consumer goods, such as smoking articles, having an outer housing with a hinged lid (3) that houses an inner package (5) of consumer goods, as well as to a method of forming the container. The inner package (5) has an access opening (6) through which consumer goods can be removed and that is covered by a reclosable flap (8), which is attached to a first lid panel (32) that is relatively movable to a second lid panel (33) throughout rotation of the lid (3) between lid open and closed positions. A portion of the reclosable flap (8) is held in a substantially flat, tensioned configuration between a hinge line (7) of the reclosable flap and the hinged lid (3) when the hinged lid (3) is in the open position.
