Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2018212648A1] A portable and collapsible standing clothes-horse comprises a span assembly and a stand. The span assembly comprises laterally extending clotheslines. The stand is adapted to support the clothes-horse on the ground and the span assembly above the ground. It comprises two rigid frame parts, hinging about a laterally extending horizontal hinge axis at a frame hinge height, and guides, secured above the frame hinge height at each lateral side of each frame part. In an embodiment the span assembly further comprises at each lateral side a tensioning string, connected at each end to a span point of a different frame part beneath the frame hinge height, and running between the span points via two of the guides, each tensioning string having hoisting sections in between span points and guides, and a support section in between the guides, to which each clothesline is slidably connected. The clothes-horse is collapsible from a folded-out into a folded-in condition by moving the top ends of the frame parts towards each other, the support sections shortening, and deployable from the folded-in into the folded-out condition by moving these away from each other, the support sections lengthening.
