[origin: GB2562764A] A non-combustible consumable article for use with a heat source to provide an inhalable aerosol, the article containing a tobacco derived portion 2, a distal filter 1, and a mouth-end filter 3, all held together in an overwrap 4. In some embodiments, the filter and tobacco article is used in conjunction with a heating element and a liquid-containing reservoir, a first aerosol is produced by the heating element acting on the liquid, and the aerosol then passes through the filters and tobacco portion, picking up tobacco flavouring and other elements. This provides a simulated smoking device which is a hybrid of an electronic cigarette and a heated tobacco product. In one embodiment, the heat source acts directly upon the tobacco derived portion to create an aerosol. The heating may be provided by induction, with induction elements within the tobacco derived portion, or may be a metallic heating element, ceramic heater, or other heater type. The tobacco derived portion may contain a flavourant, humectant, or pH modifying agent. The overwrap may include a transparent section.
