Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2018219908A1] The invention relates to a rotary-type capping machine (10) for containers (66) with screw caps, comprising a central, fixedly mounted support element (12, 16, 18), around which at least one rotary carrier (32) having a plurality of capping arrangements (56) can be driven in rotation by means of a first motor (24); the capping arrangements (56) comprise capping tools (58) that can be lifted and lowered, and that can be rotated by means of a second motor, and have on their underside a capping head (59) for receiving screw caps, where: the support element (12, 16, 18) comprises a bottom support element (12), the top end (14) of which is connected to a middle support element (16) which forms a bearing section and has at least one first rotary bearing (38) for the rotary carrier (32); the middle support element (16) is releasably connected to a top support element (18), which is in turn releasably connected to a head plate (22); the axis of rotation of the drive gear (40) of the first motor (24) is oriented parallel to the machine axis and meshes with a crown gear (42) formed on the rotary carrier (32); and the drive gear (48) of the second motor (28) is oriented parallel to the machine axis and meshes with a crown gear (50) formed on the control element (46).
