[origin: CA3064466A1] The present invention relates to a stable humus-water storage hybrid comprising an organic fertilizer consisting of lignite treated in an oxidizing and ammoniating manner and at least one water-storing component selected from materials of mineral or organic origin, the proportion of the organic fertilizer amounting to 0.5-99.9 vol. %, preferably 1.0-90.0 vol. %, and the proportion of the at least one water-storing component amounting to 0.1-99.5 vol. %, preferably 10.0-99.0 vol. %. The invention also relates to a method for producing the stable humus-water storage hybrid and to the use thereof as a plant substrate, an additive for planting soil and an additive for soil.
