[origin: WO2018219495A1] The invention relates to a bristle which is formed from a portion of a plastic filament. In order to still provide good material properties, such as a high flexural resistance and good longevity, in spite of a very thin design of the bristle, the invention proposes that the polymer matrix of the plastic filament contains at least 70 mass % of at least one thermoplastic, aliphatic polyketone in relation to the total polymer matrix, which polyketone is built from carbon monoxide and alkylene units, wherein the polymer matrix of the plastic filament also contains at least one additive from the group of antioxidants and UV stabilisers, and wherein the maximum diameter of the plastic filament is between 0.01 mm and 0.13 mm. The invention also relates to a brush comprising bristles of this kind, in particular in the form of a toothbrush, and to a method for producing the filaments of bristles of this kind by means of melt spinning.
