Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2018215480A1] The crown (10) for a timepiece comprises a case insert (120) to be fixed in a watch case (5), a crown head (140) mounted on the case insert (120), an actuation unit (180) to move the crown head (140) between a locked position and an unlocked position of a functional stem (7) extending into the watchcase (5), and at least one seal (30, 100, 130) between the case insert (120) and the crown head (140). One seal is a metallic seal (100) comprising an inner male seal body (60') being a metal solid of revolution and a complementary metal female seal recess (28). The female seal recess (28) is provided in the case insert (20) having a stem opening (27). The inner male seal body (60') comprises a stem receiving bore (65) in line with the stem opening (27).
