Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2018224400A1] The invention relates to a method by means of which a flowable starting product (AP) is clarified of solids F by means of a self-emptying centrifuge in continuous operation in a centrifugal field in the rotating drum (1), wherein a continuous draining of at least one clarified liquid phase occurs and wherein solids emptying occurs repeatedly by means of outlet openings (5), which are intermittently opened and closed, characterized by at least the following steps, to be carried out during the solids emptying: 100: initiating the emptying of solids from the drum (1) of the centrifuge; 200: reducing the speed of the drum (1) of the centrifuge; 300: emptying the solids (F) from the solids collection chamber (8) of the drum (1) after lowering the speed of the drum (1); 400: ending the emptying of the solids (F) from the drum (1).
