[origin: WO2020074300A1] The invention relates to an air compression system for an air separation process (LSU), comprising: - at least one main air compressor (MAC), - at least one booster air compressor (BAC), and - a first drive steam turbine (ST1) for driving at least the main air compressor (MAC), wherein the air compression system is designed such that an airflow (AIR) to be compressed enters the main air compressor (MAC) and is transferred to the booster air compressor(s) (BAC1, BAC2, BAC). In order to reduce investment costs, the invention proposes that the air compression system for an air separation process (LSU) comprises a second drive steam turbine (ST2) for driving the booster air compressor (BAC). The first drive steam turbine (ST1) and the main air compressor MAC have a common first shaft (SH1) so as to form a first compander (CX1), and the second drive steam turbine (ST2) and the booster air compressor BAC have a common second shaft (SH2) so as to form a second compander (CX2).

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Luftverdichtungsanlage für eine Luftzerlegung (LSU) umfassend:- mindestens einen Hauptluftverdichter (MAC),- mindestens einen Booster-Luftverdichter (BAC),- eine erste Antriebsdampfturbine (ST1) zum Antrieb zumindest des Hauptluftverdichters (MAC).Zur Reduktion von Investitionskosten schlägt die Erfindung vor, dass die Luftverdichtungsanlage für eine Luftzerlegung (LSU) eine zweite Antriebsdampfturbine (ST2) zum Antrieb des Booster-Luftverdichters (BAC) umfasst, wobei die erste Antriebsdampfturbine (ST1) mit dem Hauptluftverdichter MAC einen ersten Kompander (CX1) bildend eine gemeinsame erste Welle (SH1) aufweist, wobei die zweite Antriebsdampfturbine (ST2) mit dem Booster-Luftverdichter BAC einen zweiten Kompander (CX2) bildend eine gemeinsame zweite Welle (SH2) aufweist.
